Wow! I cannot believe it is already almost December! This year is whizzing by!
In social studies, we are learning about the Industrial Revolution. This is a big unit, so we will hopefully have a test within the next few weeks (exact date TBD). In literacy, we have started studying informational texts. Students will be writing their own research essay based on a topic of their interest, and we have been looking closely at how information text features support readers!
Check out the resources on our blog for more information!
A couple things as we quickly approach the end of the month...
1) Look for interim reports to be sent home on Friday!
2) Friday is also an Early Release Day!
3) Reading logs should be turned in on Friday (students should be filling these out every night when they read for 20 minutes, and in class when they read...we started these to replace keeping the book journals we started with)
4) We will have a text features quiz on Tuesday, December 6.
Thank you to everyone who answered our desperate need for tissues and pencils! We cannot thank you enough!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me!
Have a great week!
